Studying the place and kind of democracy in political paradigm of Iranian intellectuals and comparing it with principles of the west democracy (Case study: Shariati, Bazargan, Motahari, Soroush)

Certainly, democratism and related arguments have been considered as the most important theoretical, social and political matters in Iran from constitution revolution up to now; as this phrase can be searched for the bases and fields of social movements through two recent centuries. The phrase that has been followed by many disputes and arguments among several mental and theoretical courses. This paper tries to study basic and famous works of four Iranian intellectuals including Shariati (Nation and Imamat), Bazargan (Prophetic mission and ideology, outskirts of religion and policy), Motahari (Completion of prophetship, Imamat and leadership) and Soroush (theoretical contraction and expansion of religion) and finally recognizes place and kind of democracy in political paradigm of these intellectuals. Results of the research showed devisable differences between democracy and type of government with religion in political paradigm of these intellectuals regarding explanatory, wise and normal implications’ which lead to talk about several types of democracy and to believe shaping several types of governments in thoughts of them.
