The Impact of Virtual Social Networks on the Political Behavior of Iranian Citizens (from 1997-87)

The purpose of this article is to investigate the effects of social networks on the political behavior of the Iranian people. Because the mass media in our country are constantly losing their authority and credibility. The roots of this process go back to both the media and the outside world. Along with some technological developments and changes in the information ecosystem, governance policies have been an important factor that over the past years has led to the weakening of the media and the reduction of their authority and credibility. The statistical population of this study included all Iranians with the right to vote and we randomly selected 278 people. Analytical-correlation method was used to obtain the desired information in this study. In this article, we seek to answer the question of what effect social networks have had on the political behavior of the Iranian people (since 2008-2018)? There is a positive relationship between the use of social networks between 2008 and 2018 and the political behavior of citizens, in other words, the more the use of social networks increases, the more the political behavior of individuals in elections changes.
