Evaluating police performance in creating sense of security: Case study in Guilan province
Each organization needs to be aware of its statue to progress and reach its goals. This awareness leads to recognize the strengths and weaknesses of their performance and set proper solution to increase the effectiveness of their efforts. In this paper for evaluating the police performance in different region of Guilan province, we consider it from three dimensions: The capability of the police, professional behavior of the police and social activity of the police. We survey the relation betweens these Functional aspects in the development of people's sense of security and suggest suitable strategies to attract more social capital. This study In terms of scope is practical and In terms of data collection is a descriptive-analytical research. We use questionnaire as a data collection tool between 480 persons above eighteen in a selected areas of the province. Results show that the professional behavior dimension of the police performance have greater impact on people's sense of security and paying more attention to those criteria which evaluated poorly from the perspective of the people, makes efforts and spent costs to be more productive.
