Investigate the relationship between academic optimism and academic self-regulation with academic help-seeking in athlete students
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between academic optimism and Academic self-regulation with help-seeking in Athlete students.
The research method was descriptive correlational. The statistical population of the study consisted of all Athlete students of Ardebil in the academic year of 2019-2020. That 186 students were selected using stratified sampling method. To collect data, Tschannen-Moran, et al. Academic optimism questionnaire, Savari and Arabzade Academic self-regulation questionnaire and Ryan & Pintrich help-seeking questionnaire were used. The obtained data were analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis.
The findings showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between academic optimism and academic self-regulation with help-seeking (P<0.01). The results of regression analysis also revealed that help-seeking are able to predict 0.47 of changes in help-seeking a positive direction.
Therefore, to increase the level of academic vitality, we can pay attention to the variables of between academic optimism and academic self-regulation.
