Sharaf al-Din ibn Shah Husein Beiromi-Lari, a scientist from the Beirom district in the south of Fars province, [a place] known as Dar al-Awliya of Larestan. In this article, a newly-found version of his work entitled Misbah ul- Janan and Miftah ul-Janan is introduced. This work is a unique translation of [the book] Junnat ul-Aman al-Waqi'ah and Janat ul-Iman ul-Baqiyah known as Misbah by the Lebanese scholar Allama Sheikh Ibrahim Kaf'ami with a comprehensive and versatile introduction and conclusion. This, by itself, is a special advantage over some of [other] Misbah Kaf'ami's authentic translations. Misbah ul-Janan was translated in 1140 AH and, in 1149 AH, it was calligraphed in Naskh and Nastaliq script along with accents, and was donated to Mirza Mohammad Rafi’, Treasurer of Dar al-Mo'menin Rasht and is currently kept in the library of Astan Quds Razavi. A double gold-plated inscribed frontispiece, illuminated themes between the lines on the first two pages with the margins of the Arabesque flowers and leaves, vermilion table drawings, beautiful calligraphy, an exquisite and dignified preface, an introduction and conclusion that complement the forty chapters of the original text, and an exact translation with eloquent expression are among the privileges of this version.
