Traditional Methods of Carpet Map Reading in Kerman

Kerman province is one of the most important areas of carpet weaving in Iran. No one can do research in a subject without having a knowledge about its idioms. Therefore explanation about phrases of carpet map reading in Kerman seems useful for carpet researchers. Traditional methods of carpet map reading in Kerman is with local songs that has positive influences in increasing weaving speed and quality of carpet. In addition, these songs had good effect on mental and emotions of weavers. In this study we have tried to research on these songs and local terms and explain them.
