The Principles of the Study of Nature and Its Educational Implications in the Holy Quran and Nahjul- Balāghah

Abstract:
"Nature" is considered as one of the main "sources of knowledge" in the philosophy of Islamic education and one can reach the highest degrees of knowledge through such tools like senses, mind, and heart. Accordingly, the study of nature is one of the most important subjects along with theology, anthropology, cosmology, and thanatology, which can greatly contribute to educational issues.The present paper tries to extract and explain some of the basic features of "nature" from the Holy Quran and Nahjul- Balāghah and apply them as "principles of education". To this end, a descriptive- analytical method in the form of theoretical research and library survey techniques have been used.According to the research findings, these features as nature are: systematic quiddity, purposive quiddity, systematic entity, orderly entity, and beautiful entity of nature and nature as a sign of God.
