Abstract:
With a regional and international outlook, this paper examines the situation of Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, Gulf of Oman and the countries surrounding and pays a special attention to region’s strategic and geopolitical importance, large oil and gas reserves and the global need for this resource; an issue which has brought post-modern aggressive and colonialist powers to the region. On the other hand, the weakness of Persian Gulf southern kingdoms and their appeal for help from trans-regional powers to deal with the threats caused US and other western countries’ long-term military presence in the Persian Gulf. Through military treaties and preparing the context for deployment of troops, carriers and other military equipment, Persian Gulf Southern countries, repeatedly violated rights of other countries in the region and serious threats to regional security. Given the dominant political attitudes in the region and politicalsecurity strategies of trans-regional powers and existing threats, this study is trying to use the rules and regulations of international law to limit the presence of foreign and trans-regional forces in the region.
