Children Externalizing and Internalizing Disorders and Mother's Personality Traits
The objective of this study is investigating direct and indirect effects of mother’s personality traits on the children behavioral disorders with mediating role of mother’s parentins style (PS) and mental disordares (MD). 108 normal girl students، ranging from 11 to 16 years old (13. 26 ± 0. 92) and theire mothers from Tabriz participated. in the study. Mothers answered to the Child Symptoms Inventory (CSI-4)، Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS-42)، Parenting Style Questionnaire، and Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ). Spearman correlation coefficient and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) were used for analysis of the data. SEM showed that there are indirect relationship between mother’s personality traits (PT) and children behavioral disorders، while mother’s MDs mediate this relationship. In fact، psychoticism can cause internalizing disorders with mediation of maternal anxiety and depression. Mother’s personaity traits. (PT) hadn’t direct effect on children behavioral disorders، Mother’s PT hadn’t indirect effect on children behavioral disorders، even with the ediation of PS.
