Relation Between the Religious Beliefs and Rate of Trend to the Addiction

The purpose of this study is to examine (study) the relationship between religious beliefs and rate of tendency to addiction in the students of Tarbiyat Moallem University of Tehran. The research methodology is descriptive – survey;The study population is all of male students in academic year1389-90. According to Morgan's table, sampling method is available Non-randomized that 150 numbers of male students have been studied. In order to gather needed information, following questionnaire is distributed: golzari,s questionnaire of 65 questions of acting to the religious beliefs in four areas: Acts, religious activities(membership in religious groups) And considering religion in decision making and life choices and questionnaire of 89 questions of tendency to drug usage which is formed from Three subscales: Preparation of addiction APA,admitting to addiction AAS, alcoholism MAC.R. Moreover, research data gradually was analyzed Using descriptive statistics methods (frequency, average, and Pearson's correlation). The results showed that there is significant inverse relationship between religious beliefs and rate of tendency to addiction, The more tendency toward addiction, the weaker religious beliefs, and there is significant inverse relationship between religious beliefs and admit to the addiction, ready to drug addiction and alcoholism. In other word, the more admit to the addiction, ready to drug addiction and, alcoholism the less religious beliefs.
