Effects of Army Officers Social Qualifications on the Accomplishment of Knowledge Management: A Case Study

Abstract:
Social qualifications refer to personal characteristics and capabilities of personnel and interactions and communications among staff members, which facilitated achievement of objectives through stimulation and distinct skills. Scholars hold that lack of human resource qualifications entails loss of effectiveness of other factors and achievement of the objectives and implementation of organizational projects are deterred. Given the importance and priority of knowledge management project in the Iranian military forces and increasing effects of human assets on the accomplishment of Knowledge Management (KM), the present study was done to investigate the effects of army officer's social qualifications on the accomplishment of KM. To this end 125 officers from Martyr Sattari Air Force University were randomly selected, who then received Hanter and Tallers's social qualifications questionnaire and Newman's KM process questionnaire. The results analyzed based on person Pearson-Product correlation and the multi regression revealed that the officer's social qualifications positively affect the accomplishment of KM. It is then suggested that their qualifications be strengthened in line with the accomplishment of KM.
