A Descriptive Study of Al_Nahhas book with Regard to Syntax and the Related Issues "Sharh al_Qasa id al_Mashhoorat"

Considering the importance of Muallaqat in Arabic literature, and in the various sciences of language and literature, and containing many of the jahelliah words, many of commentators paid attention to it such as Al_Nahhas in his book "Sharh al_ Qasa’id al_Mashhoorat".The present study, using descriptive-analytical method, intends to study the method of Al_Nahhas in his book in order to analyze and examine his method in applying the syntax.The results of the study revealed that Al_Nahhas paid attention to the syntax and it is clear in some cases such as: reference to pronouns references, expressing the meaning of letters, as well as comparis his reasons in the syntax and i’rab, as he applied different evidence from the holy Quran and Arabic poetry to explain the syntax.
