A study of employability skills in Iranian middle school textbooks

Abstract: This research is done to describe attention rate to employability skills in Iranian middle school textbooks. So using context analysis method، we surveyed 30 volumes of middle education textbooks in 1388-89 which include 3794 pp. To analyze data resulted from textbooks we used called Shannon Antrophy method to take importance coefficient of each employability skills and comparison of their coefficient. Based on research results we paid attention from 3794 pages of surveyed books، 167 pages to base skill component، 535 pages to skill component of internal individual and 174 pages to skill component of individual management. And between pages of textbook of this course، the most importance coefficient relates to base skill component and the lowest importance coefficient relates to individual management skills. Also based on resulted importance coefficient from redundancy، the most important coefficient in all textbook related to skill of working with others and lowest importance coefficient related to collation، tendency to change and punctuality.
