Urban Sustainability Assessment Using the model Fuzzy hierarchical analysis and GIS (Case study: nine areas of the city of Shiraz)

Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is to review and evaluate the benefit levels of nine urban areas of Shiraz city using indicators of sustainable development through various sectors of health indicators - health, cultural - sports, construction, utilities, transportation and communication, and population. Fuzzy hierarchical analysis model (F.AHP) and then cluster analysis is used to Ranking the urban areas. Results showed that there is a relative inequality between urban areas in terms of its level of facilities and utilities. Zones 1 and 2 were at a higher level of urban sustainable development. And zones 5 and 6 and 9 were in the final positions. Then, using cluster analysis, areas were divided into three clusters that each cluster consists of three urban areas. Results also showed that no significant relationship between areas population and Their Benefit levels. And finally the map of sustainability was drawn for the urban areas of Shiraz.
