The Evaluation of conceptual model predicting Organizational Citizenship Behavior nurses Based on lifestyle and Organizational Commitment

Abstract:
Introdution: Todays dynamic organizations expect their employees to behave beyond their defined roles, behaviors that are known as organizational citizenship behavior. Voluntary behavior which employees protect their organizations and provide performance improvement areas. Since organizational citizenship behavior between the nurses as providers of services and care of patients in quality of care provided by them affect on patients so the nurses as the most important assets and the only competitive advantage in the medical centers and hospitals have a significant impact on improving service.
Aim
This main purpose of this study was to assessing the relationship between lifestyle and organizational citizenship behavior the nurses in governmental hospitals in North Khorasan with emphasis on intermediate role of organizational commitment.
Method
This research is a descriptive-survey study that was done in North Khorasan public hospitals in 2013. In this study,cluster sampling was used with proportional allocation and finally were selected 420 nurse with random sampling method and answered to standardized questionnaires with Likert scale; Organization commitment, Lifestyle, citizenship organizational behavior. The Cronbach's alpha was used to determine reliability that was obtained as follows:82/6%,85/8% and 87/4%.Finnaly,data was analyzed by use Spearman and Structural equation modeling through SPSS18 and Lisrel 8/72 soft wares.
Results
There are a significant correlation between the Lifestyle with Organizational­ commitment­(β=0.83) and Lifestyle with citizenship organizational behavior (β=0.76) and Organizational­ commitment­ with citizenship organizational behavior (β=0.79) factors nures(p<5%),also The findings showed that the model is a good fit.
Conclusion
Based on the findings, it is proposed that a hospital managers to improve nurse's organizational citizenship behavior in order to plan effective Component of effective change of lifestyle and try their organizational commitment.
