For this purpose, this article reports some statistics about women drug abuse and then studies 3 features of this subject: first the gender differences of tendency to drug abuse, second the main differences between genders in consequences of drug abuse and in the last section, the most important challenges in the therapy of addiction through women. The limited current data shows that the women addiction rate is much less than men addiction rate (approximately 9 percent) and we can call it a masculine phenomenon but the growing trend of this rate of women addiction (quadruple during 10 years) can be a warning for society and shows the necessity of planning and policy making to decrease this trend, particularly because the Damage caused by addictionamong women is more incredible and more effective than men addiction.
