SWOT in Evaluating the Security Potentials of Tourism in Isfahan

Lack of security and incidents (human and natural) in tourism targets are the most important factors challenging tourism in recent years. The present paper tries to evaluate the security potentials of tourism from security and tourism expert's points of views. SWOT was used to measure the quantitative data; the results were qualitatively analyzed. The findings of the study showed that: the most important factor which strengthens the security of tourism is the extent to which police emphasizes the importance of research. The weakest points regarding police in maintaining security of the tourists are: lack of knowledge of English: improper implementation of rules and regulation's and hooligans residing in some parts of Isfahan.
