The Impact of Training in Transactional Analysis on Psychological Well-being and Self-knowledge of Married Women

Abstract:
The present study aimed at investigating the impact of training in transactional analysis on psychological well-being and self-knowledge of married women in Tehran. Participants were 30 married women randomly selected from among all counseling seeking married women referring to Tehrans counseling centers in 2012. They were randomly assigned to experimental and control groups. Training sessions were carried out in 10 successive two-hour sessions. Before and after the program, the Ryffs Psychological Well-being, and the Self-knowledge Questionnaires were administered to the subjects in both groups.
