Transformation or Possibility of Mentally-posited Ownership of Man of Himself

The present article seeks to examine the issue of mentally-posited ownership of himself or his soul (nafs). Is such an ownership proven and substantiated according to jurisprudents and legal theorists? The answer has been presented in six areas and they have been argued and challenged:1. Reasons proving the mentally-posited ownership of an individual of his soul and non-transformation (istihala) of such a consideration and therefore substantiation of the ownership of the benefits of the soul and the mentally posited ownership of its actions.
2. Ownership of obligation or liability (zimma).
3. Characteristics of ownership of the soul, benefits and actions.
