The relationship between religiosity and life satisfaction

Abstract:
Religion is organized system of beliefs, including moral values, traditions, participate in the religious community for more firm belief in God or a higher power. Religious commitment or religious belief or conviction as to the degree of religious beliefs and practices applied systematically. Life satisfaction reflects the satisfaction of basic human needs and desires. Provision of basic needs and satisfaction can be regarded as positive and pleasant feeling of people in various areas of life represented. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between religiosity and life satisfaction for married students at Islamic Azad University, Quchan is enrolled in the academic year 93-92. Data were collected from 278 subjects who were selected by convenience sampling. The instrument used in this study were religious adherence Janbozorgi (1388) and Life Satisfaction Questionnaire (swls) Diener et al. (1985) respectively. Pearson correlation coefficient was used to analyze the results. The findings of this study showed that there is a significant correlation between religiosity and life satisfaction.
