Abstract:
The present study investigates the relationship between value system and morality development and identity among high school students in Islamshahr. It is a descriptive-survey study. The population included 320 students. A sample of 218 male and 102 female students were randomly selected. Data gathering tools included Identity Questionnaire(Ahmadi, 1980), Allport’s Value System Questionnaires(Allport, Renon, Lindsey 1962), and the Morality development test(Rost et. al., 1979, 1986). The results showed that 62% of students had identity crisis, and low economic and aesthetic values. However, religious and political values were high. Results also indicated that value judgment was significantly different in males and females.
