Public Diplomacy Reidentification in U.S Foreign Diplomacy after September 11th

Abstract:
Public diplomacy as a means for describing new aspects of international diplomacy which has become an issue for debate since 1960 has been assumed as a part of diplomacy evolution chain in different time periods. On the other hand, America should be considered as among numerable great power which has benefited from diplomacy since the beginning and it has always committed to modern and innovative methods and means for achieving its goals. The present paper aims at paying especial attention to numerous experiences resulted from applying public diplomacy during cold war as well as the last decade of 20th century, but what has been more emphasized is the years after September 11th. The paper tries to focus more on qualitative as well as quantitative aspects of George W. Bush and Obama cabinets approach in applying public diplomacy in fighting with terrorism. Therefore, the present research is going to answer the question that “What was the effects of September 11th attack on the evolutionary process of U.S public diplomacy?”
