Investigation the Psychological Well-Being and Marital Happiness across the Life Course

Abstract:
The purpose this study was to investigate the psychological well-being and marital happiness in family life cycles in married men and women in dezful city. The sample study was 251 married people that selected from four life cycles in family life: young couple, family with young children, family whit adolescent and families at midlife (launching children and moving). The participants were asked to complete Marital Happiness Scale (MHS) and Psychological Well-being Scale (PWBS). In order to analyze the data, used of two factor variance and tukey follow up test. The results showed that there are significant differences between in happiness, and there is significant difference between couple with young children and couple with adolescents. Also,among four life cycle groups, there are not significant differences in psychological well-being.
