Simulation of Fear Effects on Cardiovascular Pressure and Flow Based on a Lumped Model

Abstract:
Fear is an epidemic experience among humankind that has inherit from mammalian. Fear denote afraid of threatening disaster and an emergency to salvation oneself. What is happening during fear state has been studied in some articles. What is not deniable is fear effects on cardiovascular system that is this paper aim. Some articles report an increase in heart rate and blood pressure, cardiac output and a decrease in peripheral vascular resistance what we did was simulating this results in computational model. To understand cardiovascular response during fear conditions we use an electrical model of cardiovascular system (lumped parameter model). For this purpose an equivalent electronic system. In this paper it is shown that the numerical results in different cases with different emotional states are in agreement with corresponding data found in the literature.
