Abstract:
The British government¡ as a dominant power in the Persian Gulf has variety of Favorites and interests in this region from the late nineteenth to mid-twentieth century. The aim of this study is investigation of the British interests in the Persian Gulf between the two world wars and also the actions of this country for protecting its interests in this region. The study''s questions of this paper are:1. what was British interests in the Persian Gulf during The first Pahlavi era?2. What did The British government for protecting its interests in this region? The results of this study¡ which was accomplished by using the librarydocuments Method¡ shows that British interests had different dimensions such as commercial¡ political-strategic and communication interests in the region. Also the British government had done some actions such as establishing the Air Force for protecting its interests¡ and continued the politics of the omission of iran from the region that had begun long before. Also The British government had accomplished some sabotage against of Iran which was trying to restore its sovereignty.
