Soundscape Revitalization of Zandieh Historical Spaces

The main scope of the current research is investigation of basic definition and features of soundscape in historical contex to recognize relationship between citizens''s priorities and proper strategies to restore historical urban spaces. According to achieve citizens''s priorities¡ interview is used. It should be mentioned that citizens have responded with their eyes shut. Therefore¡ their experiences due to the sounds existed in Zandieh Complex are only collected. The results show that citizens mentioned that historical complex need more calm and noise pollution should be removed. They also prefrer natural sounds to atificial sounds. Therefore¡ using water and bird sounds can be considered by urban designer to absorb more visitors and improve quality of urban spaces in historical complex.
