Iran; Influence, Regional authority, Which Diplomacy?

Abstract:
Since the beginning of Iranian Islamic Revolution the necessity for expanding Iran’s regional influence has been one the major principles in its foreign policy. Cultural diplomacy has always been the main approach in promoting Iran’s regional goals however by the outbreak of Islamic Awakening in West Asia and North Africa since 2011 and consequently forming security developments, a review in Iran’s foreign police to pursue regional interest more has been of the essence. In this regard, the article seeks to answer to the question that “which diplomacy, can achieve Iran’s interests and goals better in the ongoing new developments in the region?”
Overall, the article proposes this assumption that for Iran, the smart diplomacy, combination of soft and hard power, is the most proper policy to promote regional goals as well expanding its regional influence as the analysis of foreign policy of Iran over Iraq, Syria and the region shows.
