Demographic changes and its impacts on the political dimensions of the national security of the Islamic Republic of Iran
Demographic changes, are the results of changes in the relevant components. Factors that are known as fertility, mortality and migration and contextual factors such as economic, political, social affairs by influencing these three factors, are the underlying challenges that threaten the national security. Having this assumption, this study was an attempt to answer the central question that how demographic changes are, in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and what are their impacts on the political dimension of national security? The aim of this study was to identify the most important political challenges resulting from demographic changes in the country. This is an applied research, and the data were collected through the library and field research methods.In this research the mixed method approach (qualitative and quantitative was used to describe and analyze demographic and document data. The statistical population of the study, was Iranian population, specifically the female population aged between 49-15 years in the country.Through the Purposive sampling a sample consisted of 30 members among the security experts were selected. The validity of the study was determined through Expert validity and the reliability of the study was determined to be 0.85 using Cronbach's alpha formula. The collected data through questionnaire, were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results indicated that; the crisis fertility and renewable generation power with 96.9 percent, the crisis of aging populations and declining young population with 96.6%, with high effectiveness, as the most important challenges of demographic, are threatening the political security of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
