The Study of Antecedents of Workplace Incivility: The Role of Cyber Incivility and Other Factors

The aim of this study was to investigate the antecedents of workplace incivility and analysis of its results between employees of the Parsian Gas Refining Company in Fars province. Statistical population of study included employers of Parsian Gas Refining Company in that were 235 people in 1395. In this study, 182 people was selected by stratified sampling method. There were 7hypotheses and questionnaire consisted of 36 questions. To investigate the validity of questionnaire, the content validity and construct validity were used. The Cronbach's alpha was used to determine the reliability of questionnaire. To analyze data and test hypotheses of the software SPSS 20 and AMOS 20 were used. Results showed that family issues, experiencing negative emotions and cyber incivility had significant impact on workplace incivility. Also ICT was not effective on workplace incivility but had significant impact on negative emotions. The findings indicated that experiencing negative emotions mediated effects of ICT on workplace incivility. Finally, results weren’t found for the role of negative emotions as a mediator of the relationship between family issues and workplace incivility.
