The Effectiveness of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy on Self-Compassion in Patient with Mixed Anxiety- Depression Disorder

Abstract:
Introduction and Aims The aim of the present study was the evaluation of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy efficacy on self-compassion of patients with mixed anxiety-depression disorder.
Materials and Methods Three participants with mixed anxiety-depression disorder were selected by available sampling. Participants evaluated 9 times by Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI-II) and Neff self-compassion Scale (SCS). For data analysis, we employed procedure index, Cohen’ rate of variability, interpretation of ups and downs in the graphs. In the hand to determine the clinical significant percent recovery and effect sizes were recruited.
Results
MBCT significantly increased self-compassion in patients who received MBCT and also controlled their anxiety, depressive signs and symptoms in their follow-up (60 days).
Conclusion
MBCT can imply high efficacy in terms of self-compassion and it can decrease depression and anxiety of participants.
