Abstract:
Cancer remains the most important cause of human death. Many chemical and radiotherapy treatments lack specificity on cancer cells and in some cases have side effects on other cells. The tremendous advances in science today in treating cancer have increased the likelihood of treating cancerous and endemic human cases. The purpose of this article is to provide new uses and enhancements in the use of oncolytic viruses as a lethal target of cancer cells, and will provide a profound insight into the mechanism and function of this therapeutic approach.Hence, we survey viruses and their ability to use them in the treatment, the mechanism and specificity of the tumor of oncolytic viruses, antitumor mechanisms of oncolytic viruses, clinical trials and success rate oncolyticvirotherapy, the role of oncological vireotherapy in controlling metastatic cancers, present challenges, and the advancement of cancer treatment with viruses. Also, in this regard, we will discuss some of the research that led to the production of medicines for use in clinical use. Finally, our goal is to provide a new route for the treatment of various cancers based on their viruses and proteins (viral therapy).
