Conceptual Accumulation of Family Literature in Interpreters’ Reading: the Factorsof Change and Terminological Difference’

In addion to shaping new atudes in science, thinkers make mental paradigms which become others’ thought repository. In this case, something may happen, which is called “conceptual accumulaon” by crics. Conceptual accumulaon occurs over me, especially if the line of knowledge is not subject to crical change and challenge. The review of interpreve texts shows that concepts and terms related to family have suffered conceptual accumulaon in some cases and texts and departed from their main and the Quranic meanings over the history of interpretaon. The present paper seeks to elaborate on factors which play role in this terminological change and difference, which has led to conceptual accumulaon in Quranic terms and literature. The textual review and comparison of several Shia and Sunni interpretaons resulted in following findings: (1) existence or non-existence of an infallible origin in explaining the Quranic verses related to women and family; (2) macroscopic atude and aenon to aims and principles governing marriage and family in new exegeses; (3) macro thoughts and scienfic methods of interpreter; (4) interpreters’ contradictory views about matrimony relaonships; (5) context-orientaon or deducing general rules from the verses of injuncons.
