Abstract:
The repeated appearance of the expression “seven heavens” in Quran caused interpreters and researchers endeavor to explicate and justify it from long before; therefore, many theories about “seven heavens” have been postulated under the impression of astronomy in every era.
The aim of the present paper is using a descriptive method and collecting data in a library to deal with the true meaning of the word seven heavens "in Quranic teachings. The writer attempts to display the initial meaning of the term and to see how its meaning was extended to embrace public and ethical aspects. Having done this, the writer tries to disclose the general meaning of the term through general references to Quranic verses. Buffett said the Quran should be interpreted in terms of these two approaches are different. Accordingly, the entire expanse of the heavens are the heavens of the sky world.
