Predication of job stress based on personality types and organizational commitment

This study aims to prediction of job stress based on personality types and organizational commitment. The study population includes all staff in Shahr banks, among them 300 persons were selected using random cluster sampling method. Research tools include philipe.al Rice job stress questionnaire, Myers-Briggs personality type’s questionnaire and Allen Myers organizational commitment questionnaire. In the analysis of statistical data correlation and stepwise regression methods were used. The results showed a significant positive correlation between job stress and introverted , sensory, emotional, and thoughtful personality types and this means that introverted, sensory, emotional and thoughtful people have higher job stress compared to other personality types of Myers-Brigs. On the other hand, according to research findings using regression analysis, it has been shown that three subscales of (affective, normative and continuous) organizational commitment anticipate job stress in reverse and emotional subscale anticipates it directly. The results show that personality types and organizational commitment can predict job stress.
