A Historical-Comparative Study on the Impact of Population Growth on the Economic Development
A famousstatement in public and scientific circles in Iran is that the increase in population leads to poverty and deteriorating living conditions; because the facilities and resources are allocated to more people. After reviewing different theories, this paper studies comparatively, the relationship between population and economic status in various countries. This study is a secondary analysis of published statistics of different countries. At last, based on the empirical analysis, the statement is evaluated.
