The effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral therapy in reducing post-traumatic symptoms, quality of life, self-esteem and marital satisfaction in women with marital infidelity
The present research was aimed to study the cognitive-behavioral therapy effectiveness on betrayed women suffering from post-traumatic disorders to increase marital satisfaction, life quality and self-esteem. This is an experimental survey where the control group is pretest and post tested. To perform this, the society under study consisted of women who approached Shiraz clinic inflicted by infidelity post-traumatic disorders. From among 50 samples 30 inflicted women were selected in a way that pro performance of diagnostic tests PTSD (Mississippi Scale Questionnaires) were selected as random sampling and were next divided into two equal experimental and control groups (n = 15). The subjects of the experimental group underwent eleven sessions of cognitive-behavioral therapies. The control group did not receive any interventions. The obtained data were subsequently analysed by application of ANOVA. The findings indicated that the symptoms of disorders after post-traumatic therapies had decreased.
