THE EFFECTIVENESS OF GROUP SCHEMA THERAPY ON THE REDUCTION OF SUICIDE BEHAVIORS AND SUICIDE OF ADOLESCENT GIRLS BETWEEN 18 AND 18 YEARS IN MASHHAD
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of schema therapy group training on reducing self-harm and suicidal behaviors of girls between 14 and 18 years old referred to Mashhad Education Counseling Center.
The present study is a quasi-experimental study with pre-test and post-test design with control group. In order to conduct the research, after coordinating with the counseling center, a meeting was held to identify and engage student girls, including self-harm behaviors. Then, the Young Schema Short Form Questionnaire, Beck's Suicidal Thoughts, Self-Injury Questionnaire was administered to them, and 30 female students who were eligible to participate in the study were selected and randomly divided into control and experimental groups. Thus, Schema Therapy was conducted in 10 sessions of 90 minutes per group and after the sessions, the questionnaires were again completed by the experimental and control groups. Multivariate analysis was performed for groups.
The results showed that schema therapy group training has an effect on reducing suicidal and suicidal behaviors.
Schema therapy group training, due to the effects of cognitive techniques, has led to a decrease in suicidal and suicidal behaviors, which has reduced the validity of the mean suicide and suicidal scores in the experimental group
