Hereafter ethics, A Comparison of the Hereafter Ethics in the Qur'an and the Bible Emphasizing on Shia and Catholic

Ethics and moral teachings cover much of the content of religions, both divine and non-divine. This issue is very prominent in the Abrahamic religions, especially Islam and Christianity. What is at front of  Catholic and Shiite Muslim is a set of moral teachings on one hand and beliefs, including the hereafter on the other hand. When we combine the two categories of ethics and the Hereafter, we find a meaningful relationship between them in several aspect. It is true that the hereafter in Shi'a differs in many respects from the hereafter in Christianity, but there are some things in common, including the resurrection of the dead, the judgment of the deeds, the calculation, and so on. This leads us to share some insights into the relationship between morality and the hereafter in these two religions. This dissertation seeks to explain the relationship between ethics and the hereafter in the two religions by means of libraries, documentary studies, and content analysis. Finally, what has been learned from this study is that in both religions, the hereafter has an impact on the hereafter in three areas of meaning, motivation, and end. In the sense that the meaning of some ethical propositions depends on the existence of the hereafter; the hereafter has the function of motivating the individual to live ethically, and ultimately that the hereafter ends the individual's moral action in this world.
