Evaluation of Topical Antiseptics used to Measure Diabetic Glucose Levels in Diabetics
Diabetes is considered as one of the most important health-medical and socio-economic problems of the world today. Self-care and periodic tests will be helping regulate blood glucose and reduce its complications in patients. The aim of this paper is discussion about the type of solution used in the blood glucose control and its effect on blood glucose levels is.
This review study is based on the data collected in the search engines Google scholar, PubMed, SID, Magiran and related articles related to the topic of diabetes, local disinfection, Alcohol, Chlorhexidine, water and soap, blood glucose levels, between 2000 and 2019.
The results showed that various factors can be effective in capillary blood glucose measurements, such as: type of Alcohol used, type of Alcoholic beverage, Alcohol consumption, water from the washing of the place, contamination of the place to the sugars, use of Soap that these factors can cause changes in capillary blood glucose levels relative to venous blood.
Discussion and Conclusion
Since blood glucose results have a critical effects on decisions for the diabetic patient, it is important for managers and nurses to draw up appropriate and accurate protocols and appropriate use of the best treatment
