Different societies need to provide growth and development in order to be on the path of improving their social and economic conditions and one of the factors influencing the growth and development of any society in the transformation of scientific structures of the country and the expansion of knowledge especially in the Humanities field. The Islamic Republic of Iran is no exception. Finding cultural barriers to the development of the humanities in Iran requires careful analysis of the cultural characteristics of our country. The question is, what role do cultural factors play in the underdeveloped humanities in Iran? The hypothesis is that: The culture of self-expression, individualism, and the importance of university degrees for social prestige and economic standing are among the most important cultural barriers to Iranian scientific development. We need to use an appropriate theoretical framework to explain the scientific development and the obstacles to achieving it. The neo-structuralism framework is used for analyzing in this article.
