The Effect of HRM Strategies on the Performance of Urmia University Librarians
The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of human resource management strategies on the performance of staff of University libraries in Urmia.
This research is applied in terms of its purpose and in terms of analytical-survey nature. The statistical population of this research is all librarians of Urumieh university libraries. The data gathering tool is a combination of two standard questionnaires of employees' management and performance strategies. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data. Descriptive statistics including frequency, frequency and mean of variables were presented in table and chart. Inferential statistics included linear regression, Chi-square and Friedman tests.
The findings of the research indicate that human resource management strategies have a significant effect on the performance of university librarians, which includes ability, support, motivation, validity, cognition and evaluation. Also, gender and type of employment did not affect the HRM strategies on the performance of academic staff.
The results showed that human resource management strategies, considering that the organization's human resources is a key source for sustainable competitive advantage and one of the success factors of organizations, has a significant effect on the performance of library staffs University of Urmia.
