The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of educational intervention based on health belief model and self-efficacy on psychological and physical health promotion behaviors of menopausal women working in Tehran's nongovernmental schools in 1396. The statistical population consisted of all girls' non-governmental schools in Tehran. Among them, 60 menopausal women were selected by purposive sampling method and randomly were assigned in two experimental and control groups (each group 30). The research method was semi-experimental with pretest-posttest design with control group. Data were collected by Walker Standard Questionnaire (2014). The experimental group was trained in 6 sessions of 2 hours each on health promoting behaviors. The data were analyzed using multivariate covariance analysis (MANCOVA) and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that education was effective in improving the health promotion behaviors in experimental group and there was a significant difference between the menopausal women of the two groups (P <0.01).
