Investigating and Analyzing the Position of Zarathustra in Ancient Iran
There have always been numerous issues about Zarathustra and his words to discuss. Some rejected his existence and some considered his as a social reformer, and some as a soothsayer, and finally some considered him the prophet of Iran. Given that some are trying to highlight the face of Zarathustra to weaken other divine religions, especially Islam, this research has tried to express some statements in this regard and the problem of proving the prophethood of Zarathustra, the existence of Zoroastrian ideas and beliefs among the people, and especially among some governments of ancient Iran with a descriptive-analytical view and using reliable scientific sources and documents to criticize those fundamental positions. Due to the ambiguity of the date of Zarathustra’s birth and also the study of historical texts about him, Zarathustra cannot be considered a prophet with certainty. In other words, the religion of the Magus had a prophet other than Zarathustra and a book other than the Avesta, and the two religions of Magus and Zarathustra are not synonymous.
