The Effect of Organizational Health on Organizational Citizenship Behavior with Mediating Role of Psychological Empowerment inIn Zahedan Municipality employee
The purpose of this research was to investigate the effect of organizational health on organizational citizenship behavior considering the mediating role of psychological empowerment in Zahedan Municipality employees. he research method is descriptive-survey and in terms of applied purpose. The statistical population consisted of all employees of Zahedan municipality who were 514 and 214 of them were selected by simple random sampling method. To collect data, standard questionnaire of organizational health (Hoy et al., 1986), psychological empowerment questionnaire (Spreitzer, 1995) and organizational citizenship behavior questionnaire (Organ & Konovsky, 1996) were used. Structural equation modeling method by LISREL software was used for data analysis. The results showed that organizational health and psychological empowerment affect organizational citizenship behavior. Psychological empowerment also plays a mediating role in the relationship between organizational health and organizational citizenship behavior. Based on the results, it can be said that managers of organizations in order to promote organizational citizenship behavior should improve organizational health and take steps to employees psychological empowerment
