Sociological Analysis of Factors Impacting Men's Violence against Women in Families(Case Study: Ilam City)

Family violence is a global and national phenomenon. The reports published on the conditions of women during the last few decades indicates significant rate of violence against women. The statistics available in this regard indicates that around percent of women suffer from this social phenomenon. It is said that women in Iran are affected by violence in different ways, either in private or public environments. This phenomenon brings about undesirable damages to women victims as well as their children, and indirectly affects the society. The present article aims at analyzing this phenomenon based on sociological aspects.
