Abstract:

The purpose of this study was to investigate the psychometric properties of the study habits questionnaire among female high school students. The research method was descriptive-exploratory and the statistical population consisted of second-grade students in Tehran's 8th district. 500 students were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling. Data was collected using Pulse-Sharma and Sharma Students' Questionnaires (PSSHI). Structural validity, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, main axis-orientation (PAF) with varimax rotation, confirmatory factor analysis, and standard T scores were used to examine the research questions. The KMO index was equal to 0.816 and confirmed the sampling adequacy, which indicates that it is acceptable for a robust factor analysis. The results of the study showed that the questionnaire of habits of study has 8 factors that these eight factors explain 64.13% of the total variance of students' study habits, as the first factor is 9.859%, the second factor is 18.89% , The third factor is 602.8%, the fourth factor is 787.7%, the fifth factor is 609.7% , the sixth factor is 3 90.7% , the seventh factor is 042.7%, and the eighth factor accounts for 534.6% of the total variance. Based on the results of Structural Validity Research, the habits of study among female students are appropriate and acceptable. The total score of the PSSHI scale was 768/0 and for the first to eighth factors, respectively, were 0.779, 0.771, 0.8828, 0.883, 0.9 53, 0 .9 07, 0 .7 73, 0 .7 38 and 7 68 respectively, respectively. The results of the confirmatory factor analysis showed that the variables considered for each component had an appropriate load factor (higher than 0.4 1 ). T he P SSH I scale also has a suitable softness, based on t score of 50 and a standard deviation of 1 0 . Therefore, it can be said that the PSSHI scale has an appropriate factor structure, considering 8 factors and also has a validity, reliability and acceptable norm score among female high school female students
