Green space is one of the indicators of the development of societies with environmental, social, cultural, economic and physical dimensions. Connecting the community to the ecosystem is crucial for the flexibility of social and environmental systems. The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance of rural assistants in rural green space and identify the challenges they face. This is an applied-developmental research using descriptive-analytical and exploratory method. The statistical population of the study consists of villages with village support in Sarrood South of Boyer Ahmad County. Questionnaires, interviews and direct observation were used to collect the required information. For this purpose 380 people were selected as sample population using Cochran formula. Finally, the collected information was evaluated using coding software. According to the results, the villagers' performance in rural parks and gardens is at an average low of 1.36, and the current status of the settlements is very poor compared to the existing standards of rural parks. The results also showed that the existing status of the settlements in terms of rural parks is unstable compared to the existing standard. In general, the most important factors that led villagers to fail in the field of rural green space management were the low level of villagers' literacy, lack of familiarity with their duties and the villagers, lack of monitoring and evaluation system and clan selection.
