Abstract:
Shiites in the Levant have maintained their identity since the early centuries of Islam. Social history is a branch of historical science that examines the history of the past with a new approach. Investigate issues that most historians do not pay much attention to. With a descriptive approach, this article seeks to find the factors and components that affect the social history of the Shiites of Sham until the seventh century by studying historical propositions. The conclusion is that according to the social history approach, the causes such as sovereignty, family, religion, immigration and components such as rituals and ceremonies, attention to holy places and the type of endowments and vows and Shiite symbols have been effective in perpetuating and expanding Shiism in the Levant. Keywords: Shiite social history, dinner, Shiism, factors and components.
