Social Participation And Social Security
Security and order are assumed as essential indices of human welfare in such a way that the evolution of society and individuals hinge on the fulfillment of the former. Meanwhile, this study aims to examine the relation between the social participation (as a social element) and the feeling of security amongst the citizens of Tehran and proffer some strategies for improvement of the former. Accordingly, it employs survey as a method and makes up a population of citizens older than 30 in area 22 of Tehran and determines the sample as 384 persons upon Cochran Formula. Following, it takes sample upon multi-phase cluster and gathers data through questionnaire.
The outcome of the study suggests that the feeling of security is varies in respect of age and education. Age and feeling secure bear a positive but education and the latter bear a negative relation with each other and by improving social participation the social security could be developed.
