Develoption of a preparation program for adoption: a qualitative study

the growing trend in the number of adoptive families in the country and establishment of appropriate discourse on the adoption of the child by infertile couple has made the importance of preparing the adoptive families more than ever.
The purpose of this study was to Presentation of preparation program based on the challenges posed by adoptive parents.

the present study is based on the methodology of the qualitative type and the phenomenological method and through objective and accessible sampling. the present research community was formed by couples who had adopted the child in an institutional way. using a deep interview, the data were collected, and used Colaizzi method in order to analyze the data.

the results of interview data on challenges were presented in three category:pre-adoption, during the adoption and post- adoption and finally the extracted preparation program from challenges Presented in five processes:assessment, awareness making, decision making and role management.

The results of in addition to increasing insight into lived challenges by adoptive families and identifying the relevant Themes related to preparation for adoption, can provide the basis for further research as well as developing educational and therapeutic programs with the aim of facilitating and improving the process of adoption.
